Career Highlights:
Since beginning his law practice in 1978, Mr. McClelland has
represented both employees and employers in employment law
matters before administrative agencies and the Federal and
State Courts of Missouri, Kansas and Iowa.
Since 1984, Mr. McClelland has served as General Counsel for
the New Liberty Hospital District of Clay County, Missouri.
Mr. McClelland is admitted to practice before the United
States District Court for the Western District of Missouri,
the Eighth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the
United States Supreme Court. He has represented
clients and obtained jury verdicts on behalf of his clients
in front of federal judges in Missouri, Kansas and Iowa,
including the Honorable Fernando Gaitan, Jr., the Honorable
Scott O. Wright, the Honorable Joseph Stevens, the Honorable
Ortrie Smith, the Honorable Earl E. O'Connor, the Honorable
Dale E. Saffels and Honorable Celeste Bremer.
Because of his experience and qualifications in the private
and public sector employment law, during the last two (2)
decades, Mr. McClelland has acted as a moderator and panel
participant in numerous Missouri Bar, Kansas City
Metropolitan Bar Association and UMKC Continuing Legal
Education programs.
